EXHIBITION : “Common Ground ” at Vida Heydari Contemporary | 14-Oct-2023 to 22-Oct-2023
COMMON GROUND
a celebration of art from pune city |
I am thrilled to inform you that my art is currently on exhibit at the very exciting show “Common Ground” at Vida Heydari Contemporary in Pune, India. The show features artworks by select artists from Pune, across various genres and generations.
In the spirit of creating and sustaining a strong community of artists in the city—and a space full of exciting conversations—the exhibition is aimed at creating a much-needed support system, important for the artistic ecosystem of Pune.
The very awesome Vida Heydari Contemporary have pledged all gallery proceeds from this exhibition towards the creation of a grant to support young artists in Pune. So cool!
The Common Ground show opened with great fanfare on 14th Oct 2023. The exhibition is a coming together of artworks by 54 different artists from the city working various media and themes. And despite the varied backgrounds there is a certain cohesiveness and an expression of familiarity that runs through the entire display. |
MIS FAVORITOS
As you already know, I am an absolute sucker for biomorphic art and art inspired by biology themes, so it’s no surprise that the biomorphic works from the show were at the top of my list of favorites.
And some non biomorphic pieces that caught my eye… |
These are just a few of the many exciting works that are currently on display at VHC. If you are in Pune you should definitely catch the show before it ends on 22nd October 2023
A catalogue with details for all the works currently in the show is available to view with Vida Heydari Contemporary.
I encourage all of you (especially you who have roots in Pune), to collect some of the very interesting artworks from the exhibition. Show some love and support to your favourite art and artists.
All gallery proceeds from this exhibition have been pledged towards the creation of a grant to support young artists in Pune. As reasons go, I can’t think of a better reason to collect some art!
Happy Art Collecting! <3
